Could Taking BP Medicine Cause Lower Pulse Rate?

I am 59 yrs. old and I just took my blood pressure because I am trying a new medicine because it kept being like 180/100. So the good news is it was 123/75, but the pulse was only 50. Is that dangerous or okay? I AM SORRY I CANNOT AFFORD THIS. I DID NOT KNOW THIS COST MONEY. THANK YOU ANYWAY!

Hello ,
This is Dr.S.Tomar from healthcaremagic.com and I will be your healthcare advisor for this question. First of all Thank you for sharing your concern with us and showing trust on us.
Blood pressure medicines like beta blockers and calcium channel blockers can cause bradycardia , if you are on such medicine then this might be the cause . If you don't have any complaints or any additional symptom like dizziness then this heart rate should be considered normal and healthy. Its not dangerous . But if bradycardia is accompanied with dizziness , lightheadedness , fainting then should consult with your cardiologist straightaway .
I wish you good health.
Best Regards,
Dr.S.Tomar
