Could Tender Breasts With Pink Spotting Before Periods Mean Implantation Bleeding?

I ve been off the depo shot for 2 months now. My partner and I have had unprotected sex and are trying to concieve. My period is due in a week but I m having light pink spotting and a few weeks before now I ve had tender breasts and constipation. Is this implantation bleeding? And if so, when should I take the pregnancy test?

Hi,

Implantation bleeding is usually pinkish in color and is very less in quantity and appears as spotting however one can't be sure whether it is that or not. I would advise you to get the pregnancy test confirmed by getting it done after 1 week of missing your periods.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
