Could Tenosynovitis, Swelling And Red Ankle Be Due To Insect Bite While History Of Having Plantar Fibromatosis?

Hi, we were in panama last winter and got bite in the ankle by an insect. It got swollen and red and I now have tenosynovitis. Could this have been caused by the bite as I never injuried it. I do have some plantar fibromatosis and also flat feet but wear orthotics.

Thanks for the query.
Tendosynovitis is an inflamatory disease. But an insect bite may not be the reason. If you have a doubt I suggest a blood test.
Give a little rest to the limb. Give an ice pack to the tenderness.
