Could The Bands From Placenta Affect The Fetus?

My niece Deana who is 37 yo, 36 weeks pregnant with second child (son is 7 yo; Deana had eclampsia with Brycen and he was born vaginally 3 weeks before the due date, also had one miscarriage 2 years ago) and diagnosed with moderate placental abruption, had an ultrasound two days ago that revealed that the bands/strings from the placenta that could potentially affect toes and fingers, etc., were not doing any damage to the fetus. Her doctor has prescribed complete bed rest and wants to wait until she has reached the 37 1/2 week mark before inducing labor. Could the bands/strings effect the fetus in the meantime? Her doctor told her she does not have a body to have children. Deana is about 5 1 and 100 pounds and looks like she is expecting multiples. Thank you very much.

well with a history of eclampsia in previous pregnancy the chances of pre-eclamsia inceases by 10per cent in future pregnancies and the dreaded outcome is placental abruption which she had 2 years ago.
these bands /strings which you mentioned from placenta would not cause any mechanical harm to toes as she is already 36 weeks. concern is her blood pressure and features of pre eclampsia...she should be delivered at 37 weeks with induction intentionally in order to avoid any untoward event in future.
regards
