Could The Glandular Fever Be The Symptom Of HIV?

having hiv after a very short experience on unprotected sex once? i am not entirely sure if there was full penetration and it didnt last long at all but i was diagnosed with glandular fever not long after through a blood test and wonder if that could be a symptom of hiv.

Hi, hiv doesn't produce symptoms that early. It takes time. Symptoms of hiv are persistent fever, chronic diarrhoea, weight loss, weaknesses, lymphadenopathy frequent infection etc. Youf glandular fever is mostly due to some othet reasons. However it doesn't mean that you are safe. You should go for confirmatory hiv testing once after a month of exposure. You can go with p24 antigen or pcr.
