Could The High T4 Level Affect The Baby During Pregnancy?
hello doctor my name is priyanka I am 7th month pregnant I am using thyronorm 37.5 mcg tab daily I did my thyroid profile test it showed high t4 level 23.5 was the range and t3 and tsh are in normal range .does this level going to harm my baby kindly reply me as soon as possible
Hi Priyanka, Good day. What was the range given in the result? Most likely you had given the blood for testing with in 4 hours of taking Thyronorm and hence an increased T4 value. Since your TSH and T3 are normal, please don't worry. Placenta will not allow all the Thyronorm to pass to baby. Next time please make sure that you give blood for Ft4 and TSH either before taking tablet or 4 hours after taking tablet Regards Binu
