Could The Inflammation And Pain In Vagina Be Due To Contraceptive Coil?

I had the contrisptive coil in a few years ago and my abdoman and vagina has been in pain and inflammed ever since. I had it removed 3 years ago and was wondering if it could have done any damage. Been to doctors countless of times and there not doing anything for me.

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Presence of persisting pain and inflammation following contraceptove coil insertion is likely to be due to pelvic inflammatory disease. Persistent Vaginal thrush has also to be considered.
Diagnosis will depend on smear examination.
Properly treated it can be completely reversible.

Take Care

Best Regards
Dr Deepak
