Could The Likes Of Canesten Oral With A Capsule And Lotion Be Beneficial For White Lesion On Tongue?

My son has a white lesion on his tongue which the dentist has recommended should be seen by a doctor. He is travelling so we are arranging for this to be done in a couple of weeks There is a suggestion that it could be fungal. Could the likes of canesten oral with a capsual and lotion applied be beneficial.
