Could The Lower Vertebrae And Osteo Arthritis Be The Cause For Pain Below The Knees?

For several months i have been having pain below my knee especially in my right leg. In the past couple of weeks it has become much worse and the pain is becoming almost more than I can stand. And now my left leg is also causing me pain. I have osto-arthertis and have been told that the lower vertebrae in my back is giving away or gone. Could this be my problem? Please forgive my typing. Hi Genella,

You may be suffering from osteoporosis related to age related changes and deficient nutrition leading on to lower vertebral problems. Osteoarthirits is a progressive disorder (age related) and progression can be slown down with treatment. Lower back pain can lead to pain in the legs, usually the upper legs due to nerve compression, vertebral stenosis. The lower part around the knee joint can be attributed to osteoarthritis
You can use joint support/ knee support along with passive exercizes to strengthen the muscle and also pain medications. If you are overweight, try reducing it.
I strongly doubt the lower vertebra could be the cause for your joint pain.

I hope your query got answered. If you have any further doubts, I can help you with that.
