Could The Lump At The Back Of The Ear Be Due To The Ear Infection?
I think I have lupus my mom has it I am trying to find a rheumatologist to give me a blood test. I also have a lump behind my right ear my doctor said I had an inner ear infection I am on amoxicillan do you think the lump is part of the ear infection
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have lump at the back of the ear which could be due to accumulation of wax and infection in ear. The fluid accumulation behind the ear drum leads to reduced hearing tendency and you need to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated. I would suggest you to maintain proper hygiene.Avoid touching and pricking it with any sharp object. Put otogesic ear drops in ear. For infection in ear oral antibiotics as well as antibiotic ear drops and decongestant nasal sprays can help. You should get it checked and go for otoscopic examination as it is important. You cvan go for drainage of fluids as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
