Could The Mucus Be Caused Due To Allergy To Certain Foods Of Is This Part Of GERD?

Good day, I have been having coughing and bringing up a clear mucus for about an hour after most meals. I do have GERD, and take Pantapropozole once daily, also am a smokeless tobacco user, and moderate drinker. I ve been tested for a number of food and environmental allergies, and got negative results except for Winter Rye Grass. Could the mucus be caused by an allergy to food or is this most likely GERD even though I am on a prescription? Two, is Winter Rye related to any other foods, ie Oregano or certain grains?
