Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Could The Numbness In Leg And Fingers Be Due To Interaction Of Supplement Intake With Prescriptions?
I take several supplements and have wondered if they may be interacting with my prescriptions-just checked out B-12 on-line and since I take it twice a day in --Hair Essential vitamin-10 mcg- and--1000 mcg- B-12 capsules-could these be causing some of the numbness I am having on my leg and now fingers? I already had xrays on my leg and nothing is visibly wrong. Thank you so much, and is this a free service you are providing on-line?
Its unlikely to be due to drug interaction. On the contrary to your assumption, Vitamin B12 is used for treatment of peripheral neuropathy and numbness. I would suggest you to get a thorough evaluation by your Neurologist.
Wishing you a healthy life
