Could The Pain In Head Be Due To Deep Bruise In The Back?

I m having a crazy pain in my head that I think is nerve related. And for some strange reason, I believe it is stemming from what looks like a deep bruise in my back that itches at times? The pain in my head is not a headache and more like veins that are in pain. It is also in my neck. Like roots strangling is what it feels like. If that makes sense?

Hello dear,
I understand your concern. You are likely having either 'Tension type headache(TTH)' or 'Migraine'.Both of these headache types can radiate from head to neck.

TTH can have atypical sensations(like roots strangling in your case) over scalp(or neck, even back) and can have headache/neck or back pain.

Migraine is typically episodic headache, unilateral, pulse like, associated with nausea, photophobia(increase on exposure to bright light),phonophobia(increases on exposure to sound) and precipitates on exposure to some trigger factor(like stress, sunlight, smoking, alcohol or any food item).

Please visit your physician so that he can examine you to establish the diagnosis.I hope it helps.
