Could The Presence Of Stomach Ulcers Cause Elevated HsCRP Test Results?
Three months ago I was found to have stomach ulcers for which I have since been taking Prevacid. Recently during blood testing I had a hsCRP test which resulted in 71.2 mg/L. Could the ulcers be causing this result? I ve had annual hsCRP tests in the past several years all with results of 1.
Hi...yes stomach ulcers can lead to elevation of crp...in fact any inflamatory condition can lead to its elevation...it will come down after your ulcers have healed...
