Could The Restlessness Of The Child Is Due To The Reaction To Erythromycin Or Due To The High Dosage Of Prednisone?
Hi my son who is 4 years reacted to erythromycin and doctor put him on 15mg of prednisolone for 3 days but now he has taken it for 2 days, now at night he can hardly settle, he is very restless. Could he be reacting to the drug or is it the dose which is too much? I am even hesitant to give him the last dose because am worried l might worsen his condition

Prednisolone is given in a dose of 1 mg/kg body weight after taking food.
It causes acidity.
Better stop prednisolone and give an antacid like gelusil MPS liquid 2-3 times daily.
