Could The Severe Pain In The Head Be Due To Vision Problem?

My son 6 years old developed pain on the left hand side of the head. We have consulated a doctor who had advised to do the eye check up. After doing the eye check up we have observed ther is power of + 0.25 Spherical on both the eyes. He is wearing the specs for last 3-4 days. Day before yesterday again he coplained of severe pain. We gave Bruffen liquid. Till now he has not complained any thing about headache. Kindly advise if next time it occurs what course of action i will take. We are giving protein power along with milk daily and using eye drops as advised by the eye doctor. His weight is around 17 Kg.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi...next time when headache occurs ask the child whether he is feeling any sensation like fear, headache, vomiting, photo phobia. Also is the child having inadequate sleep? What is the child doing when the headache occurs and does sleeping makes him feel better? All this can explain the headache associated with migraine. Another possibility is unilateral sinusitis. So just find out whether the child has common cold or tenderness at the site.
