Could The Sore Breasts Be Due To Contraceptive Pills Or The Pre Menstrual Symptoms?

Hi doctor, I have a question? Recently my breasts have been feeling tender and sore. everytime I touch it hurt it a little sensitive. I am also on Nexplanon Birth Control. Do you think it is because of my birth control or do you think it is because my menstrual cycle might be coming on? or I hope it is not pregnancy? please help me and thank you for your time!!!!!!!!!

Hi.

Breast tenderness is due to few reasons. Your symptoms may be due to the pills your are taking. Actually birth control pills are advantageous with few side effects . It includes,
Spotting inbetween periods
Breast swelling or tenderness
weight gain
Stomach upset
Nausea
Mood changes
headaches and migraine.

Usually, these side effects will reduce within few months of taking tablets. If still persists, consult your near by gynaecologist for help.
