Could The Throat Hurting Be Due To Pulled Throat Muscle?

HI I am a 26 year old female...I woke up this morning with a strange symptom. Everytime I turn my head to the left, or yawn, my throat hurts. Its not really a sore throat but more of a strainging feeling from my throat to my ear. Could it be a pulled throat muscle?
