Could The Thyroid Pain Have Been Caused By Lisinopril, Levothyroxine Or Simvastatin?
I am 62 years old, when I walk or stand my front right thigh hurts. I stretch in the morning. I have a sitatery job. I am on lisinopril for high blood pressure, levothyroxine for thyroid and simvastatin for cholesterol. would any of these give me pain
I am concerned with your issue yes you can have such issues with simvastatin as this drug can cause myopathies with can affect your muscles. you need to run your CPK levels in the laboratory.
If it's raised with a value of more than 1000 then you need to stop the drug as per guidelines.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr SAMEEN BIN NAEEM, General & Family Physician
