Could There Be Any Problem After Taking 5 Dose Of Anti Rabies Vaccine After Minor Bite From Street Dog?

I have been minor bitten by street dog one month ago and I have taken 5 dose of anti rabies vaccine (rabipur) from the same date but due to confusion of understanding of exact date , two dose of vaccine have been taken one day before and last dose taken one day later the exact date . Is there any problem ?

Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

Regarding 5 dose vaccine schedule, they are given on 0, 3, 7 14 and 28/30 days. (The day 7 is added to day 0 and not day 3 and the same continues.) The first 3 doses are given on indicted dates only. Given one day earlier doesn't matter but not late. The last two doses can be a day late, doesn't effect the vaccine efficacy.

If the animal is found healthy after 10 days. You can even stop after 3 doses also.
And so, as for your history you need not worry. The vaccine works.
