Could Throbbing Pain In Testicles Be Due To Alcohol Intake?
I have had throbbing pain in my testicles for about three weeks. I went to my family doctor amd he said no hernia and gave me an antibiotic. Im clean of vd as well. Im concerned of cancer. I drink alcohol in greater ammounts than i used too. Is alcohol a possibility of the pain
Hi, alcohol should normally not cause testicular pain. However, it can cause multiple other problems to the Genital system including decreasing your testosterone levels and increasing body fat and damaging your liver and pancreas. Have you experienced any fever or burning in urine? I would then suggest to get a Urine culture and a Semen culture done to rule out the same. If it comes positive then antibiotics can be given to target the infection. You should wear tight underwear so that the scrotum does not hang loose and take analgesics like Paracetamol for the pain. Let me know the results of the test to guide you further. Also let me know your age and if you have any swelling in the testicles. Also, note if there is any swelling on the sides of your face which could mean Mumps leading to Parotid inflammation. Take care and look forward to hearing from you again. Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
