Could Treatment For Abscessed Tooth Cause Rashes On Legs?
Currently in the process of having an abcessed tooth repaired. Going in for final appointment Tuesday. With in the last day or so I have broken out in a hive like rash mostly on my legs. Just a few on my arms. Could this be a result of the draining infection?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain the draining abscess or the dental abscess cannot cause hives or rashes and it seems to be a side effect of the medicine more specifically antibiotics that must be given to you during the course of treatment for reducing infection and the rashes or hives are commonly seen due to side effect of antibiotics when you are undergoing dental treatment.. You should consult your dentist and get evaluated and in case of side effect of medicine change of the medicine can resolve the problem.. For reducing the allergy symptoms you can take Allegra 60 mg twice a day for 3 days but only after confirmation of diagnosis..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
