Could Vaginal Bleeding During The First Month Of Pregnancy Be Due To Threatened Miscarriage?

I thought I was pregnant, took an early pregnancy test and got a positive.. Then 2 weeks later, I started to bleed and it wasn t time for my period. I went to the ER and they said my urine came up negative for pregnancy.. But they did a HCG, Quant Serum and it read 1.2mlU/mL .. They said this meant I was pregnant, very early stages, but because I was bleeding, they said I was loosing the baby.. Threatened Miscarriage is what they sent me home with.. Was I ever pregnant? Did I lose the baby? Or was it just a false positive pregnancy test?? I m on vacation and can t go to my regular doctor, and the ER people were very confusing and basically wouldn t give me any definitive answers.. Please help.. My heart is breaking and I don t know if it needs too!! Chandra
