Could Weird Sounds While Breathing And Coughing Of Green Phlegm Be Due To Bronchitis?
I CAME DOWN WITH THE FLU Mon. night, my dr. would not prescribe Tamiflu by phone, so Weds. morning went into his office - he acted like he didn t want to get real close and didn t do a thorough check, like listen to my chest. I have been coughing up green globs of phlegm so I called him and he put gave me an antibiotic (penicillin) but I keep having a fever at night that gets higher and higher - last night 102.8 which scares me as I seldom run a fever. I wonder if I need a chest x-ray - all these noises come from my chest when I breath while laying down. Could I have bronchitis? Pneumonia?
From the symptoms, it seems that you are having a respiratory tract infection. If i were your treating doctor,i would have prescribed you antibiotics,a cough syrup(expectorant) and paracetamol in the required dosage.
If your symptoms persist for more than a week after having these medicines,i would have advised you some tests like Complete blood count, Sputum for culture and sensitivity, Chest x-ray(PA view).
It would have been better had you mentioned your age and if you have any bad habits like smoking or any other disease?
I would advise you to complete the medicines what your doctor has prescribed. If the symptoms still persist, you can go and consult with him for further investigations.
Hope your query is solved, Please hit a thanks if i could be helpful to you. Take care
