Could White Patches On Palms Be Due To Fungal Infection?
I have had these white patches on my palms and they are very visible when wet. When they dry they don t go away just not as white. The patches itself look like they go in a spreading formation like with the line of my palms. It seems to only effect the most used part on my palms and on the sides of my hand up to the pinky. Hoping it s just a fungal infection that can be easily treated with creams.
As per your query you have white patches on your palms , which seems to you like fungal infection . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like flat Warts , eczema , allergic reaction , fungal infection and vitiligo . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper evaluation . Doctor will examine physically , may order skin test and blood test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antifungal medicine ( fluconazole ) , corticosteroid ointment or laser therapy . For now avoid contact with dirt and detergents , wash your hands with cold water and take benadryl .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
