Could White Rash On Scalp Be Due To Side Effect Of Taking Levocarbidopa And How Can This Be Cured?

My Mother who is 89 is taking Levocarbidopa 25MG for leg cramps. Since taking this drug she has developed a white pimple/rash (red) in her scalp. Can you tell me if this is a side affect and how do we clear it it. She is on multiple drugs but did not have this problem prior to taking this drug. Thank you.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi, rash that develops after a drug is initiated is generally a side effect of the drug. You need to stop the drug and consult your doctor for a change of prescription. Itch and rash may be relieved by anti histamines like cetrizine. Hope this helps.
