Could Yellow Vaginal Discharge Be Due To Mirena IUD?
Hello, I have been yellow vaginal discharge. I have a Mirena IUD for 3 years now and previously when I had this problem vaginsis and gave me medication for it. It went away but it has returned. Could the discharge be caused by my IUD? In a very committed relationship for 2 years.

The vaginal discharge is likely related to a vaginal yeast infection.
It is not due to the IUD. IUD can cause infection but these infections occur within the first few weeks after insertion.
Infection that occurs after this time period is not usually related to the IUD.
Vaginal yeast infections are common.
Treatment would involve either a topical vaginal cream/ovule or an oral antifungal such as fluconazole.
Eg of topical creams are monistat, canesten, vagistat, nizoral
