Hallow dear,
You have not mentioned your age. I suppose you could have started menses (
menarche) just a couple of years ago. Usually first six months to two years, the menses are without egg release. When there is no egg release, there is no pain during period. Whenever the menses are with egg gets release, there is colicky pain in lower abdomen. This pain starts at the start of the bleeding and lasts for about 14 hours and then subsides. From your history, this seems to be the most probable cause of your pain. The gravity of pain is felt more if you are anaemic. So please get your blood examined for
haemoglobin levels.
Pain due to any organic pathology like tumour, infection, etc. would start few days before the menstrual bleeding starts and then would stop with the bleeding. Of course, some times when the uterine tumour is there, the pain would continue till the bleeding is there and then the bleeding would be off and on. So I feel this is physiological painful
menstruation.
If you are so uncomfortable during the menses that you cannot do your normal daily routine and have to lie down, you may take some pain killers like
paracetamol or so which will give you relief from the pain. If this also does not work, then please report to your Gynaecologist. Probably you may be given oral birth control pills which will arrest your egg release temporarily and then your menses will be painless. I do not feel you would require any surgical intervention for relieving you from the painful menstruation.
You have to decide upon how much the pain is bothering you and how much you can tolerate.
I hope this gives you confidence and solves your problem.
