Crooked Nose Or Deviated Septum Will Reduce The Amount Of Oxygen Intake?
Is it possible for a crooked nose or deviated septum to reduce the amount of oxygen intake? I'm primarily a nose breather, especially when running. My nose is about 2-3 cm of center due to break from being head but and 2 other untreated major breaks. I get frequent headaches and sometimes feel the break area. I feel the deviation could be reducing the amount of oxygen leading to severe cluster type head aches. Is a septiplasti something would work?
A deviated septum will definitely effect your air intake especially if you are exercising. Active people would feel this more than anybody else. In addition you may be getting less air during sleep due to this and in turn getting severe headaches.
I believe a septoplasty would help you a lot in this case. During a septoplasty the shape of your nose can also be change so it is not crooked
