Culture And Sensitivity Analysis Done For Pus, RBCs And Others. What Does The Report Mean?
Hello, I did a Culture and Sensitivity analysis and the report was as following: ************************ Culture and Sensitivity: Specimen : Urine Pus Cells: 2-3 /HPF RBCs: 48-50 /HPF Others: ca . oxalate (+++) Growth of No Growth ***************************************** What is that means specially for RBCs? Thanks in advance
Your report shows presence of calcium oxalate crystals and RBC in urine, which shows you have hematuria the cause of which could be many like urinary infection, renal calculi, trauma, tumors obstruction etc...
As you have hematuria along with calcium oxalate crystals and pus cells are normal it could be renal stone.
I advise you to get ultrasound done for definite diagnosis.
Hi, Welcome to HCM, I am Dr.Das
From this report it is clear that there is increased red blood cell in urine . Normally it should be within 2 RBC/HPF.
This may be associated with many kidney disease or urinary tract disease or non- renal diseases. As you didnot provided any clinical information it is impossible to say what disease condition you have.
Regarding the Culture and sensitivity there is no bacteria. so you are not suffering from any infective conditions.
