Cystic Ovaries, No Abnormality Or Free Fluids. Complication?

my ultrasound report says that right ovary measured 36x23x20 mm and left ovary measured 29x28x14mm. both ovaries show multiple peripherally arranged sized cystic follicles with stromal prominence. no abnormality is seen in the adnexae. no free fluid is seen in the pelvis . can you please let me know what this means. is there any complication?

Hello ma'am.

Based on the description this sounds like you could be suffering from polycystic ovarian disease.

Do you have other symptoms like: irregular menstrual cycles, acne trouble, hirsutism (hair gwoth in regions not normla for women like the face), etc. Obviously not all symptoms need to be present, but for the time being, if you can relate to any of the above mentioned symptoms, then you will require treatment for the condition.

Please consult your doctor for the same. Wishing you good health in the future.

Best wishes.
