Itchy cysts on face post menopausal can be actinic keratoses or trichoepitheliomas.it is mainly due to thinning of skin due to old age.due to this ultraviolet rays cause demage to skin caus ing these lesions .use cetzine to relieve itching .protection from sunlight is amust.hence apply sunscreen of spf more than 30 and a hat on head can protect.apply moisteriser mixed with retinioc acid over the lesions can cure the condition

Cysts On Face, Itching, Redness, Pus-filled. Help
Hi, Pea sized cyst on face would be sebaceous cysts. Exact cause is not known. It is difficult to prevent. Do not squeez or rupture them. If there is infection ,take antibiotics with anti inflammatory drugs. Consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis and treatment. The cysts can be removed by excision and electrocautery under local anaesthesia. Itch may be relieved by antihistaminics. I hope you got my answer. Dr. Ilyas Patel MD
