Dark Lips. Tried Different Balms, No Improvement. Suggested Kojimed Cream. Will This Help?

i'm 24 years old.
i have very dark lips,
i have tried using all types of lip balm which have made my lips even more dark,
i have also used honey , lemon , glycerin but was of no use.

For the past 2 months i have been visiting a dermatologist in bangalore
who suggested me the following creams
1) lumaglo - which almost burnt my lips ( i mean something like chapped lips )
2) Bglow - which was of no use
3)dremz ultra - which was of no use
4) ban a tan - had some changes but it was very minimal
5) kojic cream - made my lips very sensitive and had rashes

now he suggested me kojimed cream............will this help me.................i doubt.

is there any treatment for dark lips......................if yes...............watz tat?

i was a occasional smoker.....................not any more

i have lost hopes of changing my lip colour

Dermatologist 's  Response
HI,
Thanks for writing to us.
These medicines are routinely used to improve lip colour. I agree that these medicines have a potential to irritate lips or skin but in most cases the same occurs due to excessive application of the cream ie when these creams are used in more than required quantities.
In your case as you had irritation with most of these creams, I would suggest you to take few sessions of mild peels for your lip pigmentation. Milder peels like pyrivic acid or arginine peels give very good and satisfactory repponse in lip pigmentation.
Hope that helped.
