Dark Spots On Hip Bone. Painful. Bone Scan Normal. On Medication. What Could This Be?

My father had an MRI that showed 2 dark spots on his hip bone . He has been having severe pain in the area for over a month. His bone scan was clear and he has been cleared for prostate cancer as well. His doctors cannot say what these spots are and he is on pain medication and cannot walk without support. Please advise what it cud be.

Hi,
please mention the medication your father is taking.
Also , the exact final report of MRI would be useful. It could be a bone Tuberculosis , osteomyelitis, etc.
Does he have fever , weight loss in past?
Contact me anytime for further assistance.
Take Care.
