Daughter Has Had Periodic Sudden Onset Of Pelvic/lower Quadrant Pain

Daughter has had periodic sudden onset of pelvic/lower quadrant pain with pain in lower back. Must lie down, but most times receives no relief. Eventually subsides after lying down and resting.
Has hx of blood clot in ovary, tx;d by anticoagulant. Pain has reoccurred periodically. Has been seen in ER on at least 2-3 occasions with no diagnosis having been reached. Has had blood tests, internal and external u/s, pelvic exam, MRI, and urinalysis. Refuses to go to ER now due to past hx of no resolution of the problem and cost of same diagnostic tests being repeated. I am a recently retired RN of 50+ years. Please advise.
