Daughter Is Pregnant, Scan Done. Seems To Be A Vein Growing Outside Of The Baby's Heart. Possibility Of Diabetes?

We have just been for a scan for my daughters pregnancy she is 36 weeks but there have sent her for the scan because she is showing 38 weeks - they spent a lot of time looking at the baby's heart saying it appears there may be a vein growing on the outside of the heart and are sending her for another scan tomorrow and a diabetes check - what are the possible implications of this?

2. If maternal blood sugar is high,it affects fetal heart and somatic development that might be the reason of concern for doctors.
