Hello
Thank you for placing your query with Health Care Magic
First thing that i would like to know is whether she was free of
bed wetting at any time and has re-developed this problem or she has been bed wetting since childhood.
1. Secondary enuresis: child had stopped bed wetting and has redeveloped this problem. This is most commonly due to a new
stress factor in life. Problems at school. Change of school. Parental disharmony or any other such thing. First thing is to evaluate these factors and try to correct them. It can also be due to urinary infections. Get her urine analysed and i would also recommend a baseline
ultrasound to check if there is any other problem. I would suggest you visit a pediatric surgeon for the same.
2. Primary enuresis: child has always had
bedwetting. There can be delay in your child developing night time control over her bladder. Or it can be again due to some pathological problem.
I suggest you consult a pediatric surgeon and he/she should be able to guide you further.
Don't worry, it is a fairly common problem and can be taken care of well
Hope that helps
God bless you
