Dear Doctor, I Am A General Physician And Need A

Dear Doctor,
I am a general physician and need a medical consultation about one of my patients please.
he is a 60 y man with a previous history of Left kidney which had resolved at that time.
recently he has had a Right renal colic and accidentally in ultrasound observation, radiologist has found that the patient has an atrophic left kidney (78 mm.5mm.2mm) with increased echo and generalized, homogenic decrease of cortico and cortico-medullary thickness (and pretty lobulated wall)
Right kidney: 121mm.20mm.11mm , except for a 5.5 mm stone, is normal.
Bladder normal.
prostate 29cc, heterogen echo.
color doppler spectral of Aorta: 14mm diameter, 90 bpm, normal wall without atherosclerosi
I would like to know your opinion about the cause/s of this atrophy in order to stop any potential danger/s for the healthy kidney.
thank you very much in advance for your attention
