Dear Doctor(s),
I'm a 58-yr.-old female with MS, Sjogren's syndrome, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, FM, several bad discs in my neck and back and 5 RCA stents. The pain and fatigue is challenging, to say the least, but I manage pretty well. I take minimal meds because anything "mood-altering" that creates a lack of clarity just makes it harder to cope in the long run.
I have a new symptom that is contributing to my inability to fall asleep/stay asleep. I am getting very sharp, shooting pains in my fingertips and toes. They're extremely painful, but last only a second. It's like a switch gets flipped and the nerves in the digits fire up randomly. Any ideas what this is and what I might be able to do to alleviate it? Thank you, Solveig Golberg
