Dear Sir, My Father NS Rajagopal Is 84 Years Old

Dear Sir, My father NS Rajagopal is 84 years old and suffer from diabetes, PTCA stenting on 2014 and was diagnosed UC in 2015. He underwent EMR resection of malignant colonic adenoma in 2017 and was treated with budenoside for 3 months following the resection. Currently he is on Mesacol OD 1.2 gm however his kidney functions test show high creatinine at 2.98 and BUN 40; Na 140, K: 4.72 and Chloride 108. The nephrologist currently suspects onset of CKD and therefore has advised to see whether an alternative to mesacol can be advised in view of compromised kidney function . Our consultant gastroenterologist advises continuation of Mesacol 1.2g twice a day. My father recently had K levels rising to 6.98 and following treatment this was checked to be 4.78. He has been advised oral K bind daily basis. Please provide your advise.
