Dear Vsirs..I Went Into Septic Shock While Being Treated For

Dear vsirs..I went into septic shock while being treated for a foot infection..i feel that the shock was due to anti biotic iv drips which also caused me relentless itching,hives and rashes..i vomited bile while being treated bt about 3 doctors and 5-6 nurses..thought I was dying..i asked the nurses and doctors to please discontinue antibiotic iv and give me oral meds that I was given for a foot infection at the va ..they refused..the itching continued..it culminated when the nurse hung a saline solution and told me this would clear my body of the antibiotic iv..it started to drip..i told them that the itching was the worst I have experienced after a minute of the drip..the iv was stopped and I went into respiratory shortness of breath..put on 100 per cent oxygen..worked on me for at least 45 minutes..after stabilizing,i was rushed to icu..in icu I was implanted with an iv into my left neck carotid artery...all this and numerous needle sticks to locate a vein for blood drawing..needless finger sticks to check my blood sugar..told them I was diabetic at one time..my blood sugar has been good for 4-5 years..needless finger sticks..i was told this is just a precaution because you were diabetic at one time..the va never did this to me..i would appreciate any and all comments on this issue..my first admission was for an infected toe amputation..the second visit was when I was there for toe infection and went ninto septic shock..the third visit was for blister and hives and thet had the audacity to diagnose me with scabies..the same doctor..an infectious disease doctor..who saw be in icu and knew I was itching terribly from the antibiotic iv..quite an ordeal I went through for a routine big toe amputation..thank you for your time and caring..sincerely paul j peisel
