Death After Hemorrhoid Surgery. Chills, Disorientation, Trouble Walking. Had Diabetes And Heart Blockage. What Happened?
After having hemorrhoid surgery (the hemorrhoids were surgically removed) a 78 year old elderly lady within 3-4 hours suddenly has severe chills. Shortly she becomes disoriented and has trouble walking. Within minutes she has passed away. For several years the lady has had heart blockage that could not be fixed with a stint, trouble walking due to shortness of breath and was diabetic. What happened?

Considering her age and medical conditions there are two possibilities.
Severe persistent hypoglycemia due to prolonged nil per oral following surgery.
Cardiac arrest due to pre existing cardiac conditions.
The patients age should also be taken into consideration while assessing the cause of death.
