Degenerative Disc Disease And Unrepairable Broken Lt. Patella. Having Staph And Candida In Left Knee. Suggest The Cure?

I am trying to find a good pain management doctor, not a pill mill, but one that takes ins. and also will have no problems with prescribing meds. I have deg disc disease & an unrepairable broken lt. patella. I have MRI, but am not a candidiate for surgery due to ongoing battles with staph & candida in the left knee also.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi
First of all you have to take proper antibiotic according to sensitivity.
I think your pain may be due to fracture patella and disc degeneration.
As soon as you need to get your patella fixed otherwise you may get wasting of quadricepss muscles and problem in knee extension and flexion too.
For disc degeneration you need to get mri done of cervical spine and based on that you need to be treated.
If you have mild disc degeneration you may be treated with pain killers and cervical collar. And if severe you need surgical intervention.
You can consult ortheopadic surgeon for further management.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
