Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
im having knee pain center of knee right below patella, pain increases upon standing from seated position and walking up and down stairs, running is almost impossible even a slow jog and there is tightness when bending the knee. there has been no trauma
The symptoms seem to be related to a bursitis which is an inflammation of the bursa. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation of the bursa. I also suggest using cold compresses for local application.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
