Delayed Periods After Discontinued Diane 35 Pills. Last Periods Heavy And Long. Have PCOD. Restart Pills?

hi I was taking Diane 35 (21 pill pack) and i discontinued it for this cycle... but my periods have not come through. My last period started on 24th April and finished on 2nd may.. it was a prolonged and heavy one (dont know why.. had travelled) and its the 3rd of june and no signs yet.... can i start my pills again. I have PCOD

Hi,
Since you have PCOD, the irregular usage of the pills could have caused the delay in the period. You should exclude pregnancy to be on the safe side, use hormones for achieving withdrawal bleeding and then initiate treatment with the pills again. Also, you should maintain a normal body weight and do some form of regular daily exercise as weight change alone can control many of the symptoms of the condition.
