Delayed Periods, Food Craving, Spotting. Feeling Nausea And Dizziness. Pregnancy Test Negative. Reason?
hi, my last period was May 3, it is now June 12. I was supposed to have my period last week but when I did, it was blood.. then it quit.. then I started spotting. ive been having morning sickness & I have to watch what I eat. I crave chocolate & pickles. I feel nauseous all the time & dizzy. ive took plenty of pregnancy test but they all said negative. what could it be?
Hi, With so may negative pregnancy tests, the chances of pregnancy are almost nil. You could get a confirmation by getting a blood test for serum beta-hCG and this is conclusive. Else, the cause of the delayed period could be a hormonal disturbance and the symptoms are non-specific as sometimes the anxiety to conceive can create pregnancy symptoms even without conception (pseudocyesis). You may also get a trans-vaginal sonogram and contact your consultant for further advice. Take care.
