Delayed Periods With Frequent Urination And Gassy, Painful Stomach. On Contraceptive Pill. HPT Negative. Any Ideas?
Hi. I have been on the contraceptive pill for around 6-7 years now and have never missed a period. I take the pill for 3 weeks then have a 1 week break where I would come on. I was meant to come on on Saturday & still nothing (now almost Friday) & I ve never been this late before. For the past few days I have been peeing more often & I am having extremely bad stomach pains which feels as though its from trapped wind. I am passing wind a lot too (not normal) & feeling I need to go to the toilet a lot more because of this. I did a pregnancy test this afternoon which was negative. I didn t take it too early as it was 1 you could take 5 days before your periods due. What could this be? Also feeling extremely tired recently. Thank you
Well a pregnancy test can return negative results till at least 3 months into pregnancy as well; so ruling out pregnancy completely should be done by a doctor.
Although, you symptoms do not match that of pregnancy, I would recommend a urine analysis and culture to rule out possible infections.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
