Delivered 4 Months Back. Passing Clots Looking Like Liver. Had Retained Placenta During Childbirth. Clots Normal?
I had a baby 18 weeks ago. I had my first period at the beginning of Feb and it was normal. I m now 3 days into my second period and I m passing clots that look like liver . They aren t huge, probably finger tip size. I had some retained placenta after giving birth that had to be manually removed. Do you think these clots are normal or something to be concerned about? Thanks.
Following delivery, some women may experience MILD vaginal bleeding up to 4 weeks which is quite normal. But, if you are on exclusive breast feeding, then generally you do not get your period.
Here, you need to undergo pelvic ultrasound scan to rule out retained bits or other pelvic pathology. After that, you need to consult with gynecologist for next line management. You may require D & C.
Maintain genital hygiene properly. Good luck.
