Dementia, Heart Disease, Neuropathy, Diabetes, Sleeps Through Out. Suggestions To Make Him Awake During Day.

My father is 85 and has dementia. He sleeps throughout the day and up and down all night. Is there anything I can do to get him to sleep through the night and stay awake during the day?? He also has other issues as well, heart disease, neurapathy, and diabetes. He has no interest in doing anything, he no longer showers or shaves, I used to be able to get him to at least once a week.

If he has cataract, it can disrupts his day-night cycle. Dementia could also cause insomnia and you should ask his doctor to examine to see what could be the factor and how to manage it.
