Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Stage II And SGOT Elevated. Normal?

my nephew is diagnosed with dengue hemorrhagic fever stage II and sort of laboratory test it is found out that he has a elevated SGOT of 87, i ask the doctor about it if it is associated with the dengue or another condition of my nephew the doctor answer that it is normal with the dengue fever but i want to search about. if what is the possible relation of it.

Hi. Any disseminated viral infection can cause an elevation in liver enzymes like SGOT. So please do not worry about it, as once the infection is controlled by the human bodys immune system, this will come down by itself. Hope I have answered your query. Thank you.
